One of the things that have interested me as a young girl was always fantasy things to read and watch. My favorite movie was the Little Mermaid and Sabrina the Teenage Witch quickly became my favorite television show. Though I did not like Peter Pan, I did love Tinkerbell. It only made sense that I would still hold an interest for stories similar to these.
Of course as a child, my mother did not seem to mind my taste in movies and television, but my tastes expanded as I grew older. I embraced the world of fantasy, not even once asking myself if it was evil. I saw television for what it was- television. My mother saw it as the Devil.
I had begun watching Roswell- a show about teen aliens living on earth and Charmed, which is a show about three witches fighting evil. What harm do these shows bring to Christians? I believe there is no harm, however not all Christians believe the same way I do.
Shows such as Charmed and Roswell, are said to pull a Christian from God rather than bring he or she to God. Of course this makes me question whether people have a tendency to take television as reality. I see fantasy for what it is- fantasy.

SOME of my fantasies are evil!
I'm a Christian and I assure you that no fictional creation (be it movies, tv, or books) has the power to take away my faith.
What does sometimes make it hard to have faith, at least in my case, is people who go around condeming everything, and saying that every work of art (again, be it movies, tv, music or books) are evil. When these so-called 'Christians' condemn other people they are violating one of the most basic beliefs of christianity: which is that you should not judge other people.
It is this hypocrisy in people of religion that through the years has made me greatly question religion.
I still have faith, but if I ever lose it, it won't be because I was influenced by a 'so-called' sinful book or movie or song. No, if I ever lose my faith, it will be because of the self-righteous hypocrites in this world who think that they are better then everyone else.
In summary, I hope I was not offensive, but that's how I feel. As for your TV shows, I don't see anything wrong with them. As you said, its all just fantasy. As long as you take it as that then you aren't doing anything wrong. I definitely agree with you on that.
